Hello BD team just for your info,

The are some screen resolution problems on Lenovo/IBM T60 laptops. Desktop resolution is only in 640×480 possible. This is not really nice. The scanner window starts automatically and there is no way to come back to the desktop to configure the screen resolution.

I am a (HOME) PC Repair Tech of many years and would like to thank you for making this CD available, which enables me to scan my home computers frequently along with suspected infected drives from family & friends that I attach.

In one of my Computers I have an Asus P4S800D Motherboard with both SATA & IDE interfaces.
I have an IDE CD ROM Drive and a SATA DVD RΑM Writer Drive installed

When booting it will stop at "searching srd0" I think for the boot material with the DVD ROM LED flashing, (although placing a second copy bootable Bitdefender CD on the DVD ROM drive doesn't help)
Disconnnecting the SATA DVD ROM allows the Computer to Boot normally.

I would also like to mention that I have difficulties using the TAB function at the knoppix boot menu since it's hard to see the line that appears, I have had to change my Graphics card (AGP) from an NV FX5200 128MB to an older NVIDIA 32MB in order to "boot knoppix" otherwise I required to use the tab facility to add a "cheatcode" to run bitdefender in an alternate vga mode .. vesa didn't seem to work.

please note that these are not criticisms but notes for you about non-compliance .. feedback about what I have found on this one system .. on most PC's everything runs normally, and had I not seen the same CD's run normally elsewhere I may have thought that the problems lay elsewhere.

Thanks again a great job .. I always preferred booting from an external clean source as used to be the case from floppy 20 years ago .. thanks for bringing back the obvious.

btw, version 2.00 is a lot better than the previous version except that it requires manual start .. which may not be as easy for most users.

Hi!
I do technical software support here in Cusco,Peru where computer problems related to malware in general are very, very common. I`ve tested your Rescue CD on a number of computers, particularly newest laptops and I have to say the following:
The product seems to be better than from other antivirus companies, however it looks that there are a few deficiencies.
1.When the program loads up it starts the antivirus scan immediately by itself.
2.When updating the virus signatures manually it does not show the latest date of update on the display although it is updated.
3.In the safety mode it does not update manually . The error message is, File doesn`t exist!
4.And finally, there is no option of choosing scanning exclusively MBR without scanning partitions.
5.Otherwise the product is great!

Please, consider fixing these problems in the future.

Regards.
